Glauner da Silva Pereira is a Brazilian theologian and linguist, born in 1961. He holds a Bachelor of Theology (BTh), an Honours Bachelor of Theology (Hons BTh, Systematic Theology), and a Master of Theology (MTh, Systematic Theology, “with distinction”) degrees from the University of South Africa, as well as the Specialist title in Linguistics from the University of Uberaba, MG.

His research interests include:

– Theodicy. The eschatological dimension of divine providence
– The doctrine of the Canon
– The missionary priesthood of all believers
– Mission as worship (Christian witness as liturgy)
– The contextualization of the gospel and ethnotheology (especially Clement of Alexandria’s Exhortation to the Greeks; the case of the Incas in Peru; universal literature, especially Fernando Pessoa; and Christian-Guarani Mbyá ethnotheology)
– Paremiology (the study of proverbs)

Master’s Dissertation: A Missiological Theology of Worship (Approved “with distinction”)

He is currently involved in research on the pedagogy of divine revelation in the Old Testament and its value for the study of the Catholic evangelization of the Incas in the 16th and 17th centuries, and the evangelical evangelization of the Quechua people today, mainly in Peru.
